Magalies Water Board Member Magogodi Elizabeth Tebogo Malaka
Magogodi Elizabeth Tebogo Malaka has extensive leadership experience in the public sector in South Africa, with an emphasis on governance, infrastructure delivery, financial management, and board leadership, particularly when it comes to projects and services that have a positive community impact. Between 2019 and 2021, Ms. Tebogo Malaka served the communications and digital-infrastructure company SENTECH as a non-executive director, a position that entailed strategic management, risk mitigation, and public sector corporate governance.
In 2020, Ms. Tebogo Malaka joined Rustenburg’s Magalies Water as a board member. She brings to the position over two decades of governance and leadership experience, including three years as the chief executive officer of Independent Development Trust in Pretoria. Her duties in this role range from programme and project management to infrastructure delivery.
She holds a master of business administration from the South African business school MANCOSA and a social science degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Through her various board and committee roles, including her position at Magalies Water, she has attended water-sector study tours in Sri Lanka, Sweden, and Canada.
